We drove from Albuquerque to Canyonlands NP stopping briefly to eat and fill up with gas. This rock formation - named Church Rock - was located right at the turnoff to Canyonlands NP. Thirty-five miles later we found that the park had closed for the day, so, we decided to camp adjacent to the park in a private campground, Needles Outpost.
